    Freelance Writer

    In Barbara's first professional position, her employer recognized her ability to effectively and efficiently communicate information through writing. Soon, she was writing the regional column for her employer's company magazine.

    In later positions, Barbara's co-workers sought her assistance in proofreading and writing business proposals to clients.  Over the years, Barbara has written many successful business documents including materials for marketing, instruction, and the dispersal of information.

    Barbara holds a Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Clemson University, and she specializes in developing effective business communications. Currently, Barbara has written over 800 hours of training materials, and she can custom-design training materials to fit your needs and specifications.  Click here for a partial list of available training topics.

    Creative Writer

    Barbara Evers began creating stories before she knew how to read or write, so she found a willing stenographer and dictated them.  At the age of ten, she wrote and illustrated a children's story, The Growing Basketball Net.  At the age of fourteen, she wrote her first novel. (Both are carefully stored in Barbara's closest!) 

    Barbara loves books, whether reading or writing them. She works as a professional trainer, and in her spare time, pursues her passion for books. Barbara's essay Unexpected appeared in the best-selling anthology, Child of My Child: Poems and Stories for Grandparents, and an she won an Honorable Mention from Clemson University for an untitled short story.  Her short short Hidden will appear in the 2011 issue of South Carolina Writers' Workshop's literary journal,  The Petigru Review.
